Taking pictures of your kids is not always easy. If you are too busy to hire a photographer to do it for you, but you still want Christmas card worthy pictures, here are some tips to make it a little easier 😊
1. Always look for the best light: the best light is usually one hour after sunrise or one hour before sunset. You want to avoid harsh sunlight that will cause unflattering shadows on your babies faces.
2. If you must absolutely shoot in harsh light, look for open shade and natural reflectors, anything light or terra-cotta colored to bounce light back into their eyes ( for that catch light effect)
3. Absolutely turn off your flash on your phone or camera. No one looks good in that light:)
4. To make small kids look into your camera, make a silly gesture, hold your breath and shoot. That way you get natural smiles/laughs that will look great :)
Hope this helped a little, just have fun taking pictures with your phone or DSLR.
